Founded in 2022 with a passion for Bengali dramatic arts, Ghawrbhola Stuttgart Natya Company brings the rich tradition of Bengali theatre to Stuttgart, Germany. We are dedicated to preserving and promoting Bengali culture through authentic performances, innovative storytelling, and community engagement. Our productions blend traditional theatrical techniques with contemporary sensibilities, creating memorable experiences that resonate with both Bengali diaspora and international audiences.
We are excited to announce our upcoming theatrical production Mahapurush Birinchibaba this Durga Puja 2025. Written by renowned Bengali writer Parashuram (Rajshekhar Basu), adapted by Satyajit Ray in cinema, this captivating comedy drama revolves around conman Birinchibaba. The story is set in the bustling streets of Kolkata, where Birinchibaba's charisma and wit captivate the hearts of his audience, leaving them spellbound. Drama Screenplay is by Adrita Mukherjee (Wellington Natakbaaj, New Zealand) and Ghawrbhola Stuttgart Natya Company. Obak Indian (Amazing Indian) is a contemporary comedy adapted from Obak Jolpan (Sukumar Roy) that humorously explores the experiences of a stranger in a Kolkata alley who was looking for an NRI (Non-Resident Indian). He encounters various strange characters in the process. The play delves into cultural identity, and the amusing contradictions of modern life.

Dantaranga (Dental Dilemma) was our inaugural production, a witty social comedy written by Manoj Mitra that marked the beginning of our theatrical journey in Stuttgart. This original play combined humor with social commentary, establishing our group's unique voice in Bengali theatre.
